New DG Imter Serives Intelligence (ISI) Lt-Gen Zaheerul Islam will take charge today. Challenges are waiting for him. It’s first time that Gen.Islam has entered the spy world of Pakistani Military, he had already been in the ISI as Deputy Director General when he was Major General from 2008 to 2010.
Islam has commanded a corps, being an Infantry guy, 56 years Old Islam is considered as close aid of Pakistani Military’s head Gen.Kayani. Earlier in his term in ISI he had been dealing with the domestic and Counter Intelligence Issues. His services are note able as the Corps Head in Karachi while to control widespread ethnic andpolitical violence in the commercial hub of Karachi last year.
